I just picked up a 1989 2 door sidekick soft top for almost nothing. But it smokes on startup untill it warms up! Will my 1991 4 door sidekick engine fit in my 1989 2 door soft top sidekick. If so that would be cheaper because a motor here where i am is about $2,995.00 for a rebuilt one! Please repply!!

I think smoking on start-up is usually valve stem seals. Maybe you could do that job yourself easier than swapping engines. Tracka
