hey, I just bought a 93 Vitara without an owners manual, and I would appreciate if someone could give me a summary of the 4x4 shifting instructions from the owners manual?
If they are manual hubs all you have to do is turn them in lock position and then you can shift into 4wd at anytime. Front axles are turning until you unlock the hubs. If they are auto hubs you have to put the tansfer case into 4wd and slowly go forward. After that you can shift into 4wd at anytime. To unlock the hubs and axles you have to have the tranfer case out of 4wd, into 2h and then back up about 8 feet. Hope this helps.
