Default Sidekick 94 Odometer

Hi I have a SIDEKICK 94 automatic two well drive with the 1.6 with 8V ,I want to upgrade my odometer to the one with the tachometer ,I went to a junk yard and I get one form one sidekick 4 well drive but the connection plug is different ,any of you has been able to do this before .?
Do you know if I have to modify the wiring?

Hmm I think you'll need the electronic schematics to know which connector goes where. In the case of the tach, I think you have to do a deep search to find the way . I know there are aftermarket tachometers that you install by instructions. Do a search engine on yahoo or google and type "how to install a tachometer" and maybe you can find the source from engine to get the tach to work.

BTW, for a spell correction: "four wheel drive" or simply type 4wd

From what I've read in the past the tach is already wired to the dash on all models. If not the brown wire on the ignition control module is the tach signal.

Thanks for the help and the fast replay I an thinking on going to the junk yard and get the cables with the sockets and match the one of my card with the ones of the odometer with the tac.
I will keep you posted on it if I get any results ,
