Thermostat housing problem....

Hi, gang! Nice to meet you all!
1990 Tracker...Thermostat housing has a small nipple on the bottom for a return line hose for the coolant.....It broke off flush!
How in the world can I repair this little booger?
I took off the housing cap and removed the thermostat and can
look right down through the hole.
Any ideas???

Can you tap it and thread in a bayonet fitting?
