Im not sure what you mean my "no emissions" but it sounds like you might have excessive crankcase pressure and it's blowing oil through the crankcase breather on the valve cover.

I just changed the pcv valve and the IAC valve. What do you think might be causing the excessive crankcase pressure?

A compression test will give you a pretty good idea how wel the rings are sealing. It is possiable that the rings are leaking just enough to pressure up the crankcase but not enoguh to smoke.

i had a 93 pathfinder that had the rings all broken thus the tapping, you may need to check ther compressin and then replace the rings.
