Default gas indicator light

is there a gas indicator light? (sidekick 96, automatic transmision, 4wd, everything else, manual) i thouhgt it was, but now i donīt remenber!! i left my tracker close of going out of gas, but it doesnīt light... now i canīt remember if some day i see it or i was confused (i own a 2001 jetta, and it does have one)

how can i fix the switch for the lighting operation in the doors? both, left-front door and rear door doesnīt work very well, i have to move them to make the light goes on... any hints of fixing them on the long weekend itīs coming?

thanx!!

I don't believe there is a low fuel light, at least neither of mine have one. The door problem is easy to fix, all you have to do is locate the door pin and remove the rubber cover and pull it out with pliers making sure not to break it as it does fairly easily. Then use either emery cloth, sand paper or a file and clean all the contact areas, So rough up the inside of the hole where is sits as well as the contacts of the switch and on the switch itself. If it's really bad try using electrical contact cleaner, it will really help eat the corrosion Spray it with some WD-40 and reverse to install.
