anyone got any ideas to stop foggy headlights on 1992 sidekick . tried sealing the seam where back meets glass front. dry them out with blow dryer. condensation creeps back in. ??????????????????. extensively looked for other holes and cracks.
moisture probably getting in by the bulb. That's why most headlamps have a rubber cap to place over the back of the bulb.Check to see if that's the problem or you might just need to buy a new headlamp.
fixed er' . went to junk yard intentionally to get new fuel pump relay and took a look at a set of lamps in a sidekick and a tracker. both had an air hole with a rubber hose (vent) that my lamps didn't have. so i went home and drilled a 3/8" hole in the back of each lamp and fabricated the rubber vent hose from plumbing dept. at local hardware store. in just 15 hours half of the condensation is gone! this has been drivin me nuts as well burning out bulbs too soon for a few years now. i buy special daylight (eurolite) bulbs and they are very$$$$ for a simple bulb.
UPDATEone lamp started to fog up after 4 dats on rain. took it right of the truck, taped the glass front of lamp . but left plastic back part exposed. plugged the bulb inlet with rag. I then went ahead and sprayed it with rubberized undercoat. now once and for all there is no way it will leak and it is bone dry inside lamp as we speak and it rained hard yesterday for a couple hours.
