I just joined this forum today, so I'm a total nOOb. I picked up this Sidekick last night, and didn't take note as to where the hood release switch is inside the vehicle. Help on this would be appreciated....as I feel silly for asking such a basic question, but it's not in the usual place..and I've looked everywhere (this is my first Suzuki...not used to them yet)...haha...you should have seen me looking for the fuel door switch. Thank's.

Hi,

You should find the catch is in the glove compartment at the top when you open it.

Hope this helps.

heh make sure you keep the gas door lever well bolted in place, mien worked loose and i had a heck of time and had to pry my gas door open to get gas into it. Yeah the hood release is located in the upper right hand corner of the jockey box near the front

interesting because i have seen my 89 kick it has the gas door lever and i have seen a earlier 89 kick and it also had the gas door lever so maybe you just got a end of the run model j/k could just be a model differnce both of the kicks i looked at are the JLX model so maybe the JX models had key opened gas doors
