Just joined the forum! finally went through my samurai a little bit, replaced the leaking radiator with a nice aluminum one, looks very nice. but i also replaced the radio because there was wire everywhere! previous owner was very messy with wiring. i want to put in some high quality speakers what do yall recommend, also any options for rear speakers. also i want to wire the radio into the 12 volt ignition so the radio doesnt reset everytime i start it.

I have a couple 6x8 3 way's up front. Had to cut the tin a little bit to get them to fit. I had a couple 6" speakers in the back next to the seats too, but they just got in the way and I couldn't hear them over the wind noise when the top was down (80%) of the time here in San Diego. I did put in a 10 inch sub behind the rear seat. Had to custom build the sub box because it's a weird shape space to fill and I needed to optimize the whole area for a sub that size. There's space for an amp if you bolt it up just under the glove box. There should also be a wire you can tap into for your radio's 12-volt battery lead. It goes to the optional in-dash clock. Mine didn't have a clock, but the connector was there. Just use a meter to find which wire is hot.

edit: just noticed you have something large in your package tray already that would prevent you from sticking an amp under there.

If you havent gotten any yet i would recommend Hifonics Zeus 6.5-Inch 2-Way Component Speaker System. I bought mine off amazon and they sound amazing dont even need rears just a sub and all set (rears will be going in when I get my rear panels to mount them too)
