i need to know what types of rims will fit my sammy i have been told ford ranger rims and bronco will fit is there any other that will fit or do u know were i can get some rims cheap online thanks
The rims are 5 on 5 one/half bolt pattern. (5x51/2)
Be sure that the hole in the center of the rim is large enough to go over the hubs on the front wheels. (rears not so important)
Most old jeeps have this bolt pattern (CJ's)
Older ford p/u also had them
As well as IHC (corn binders)
Be sure to check and know the offset (back space) you need.
Wreckers are a good source and sometimes they will sell them cheaper if you take the tires that are on them as well. Do some shopping.
Some tell you steel is best, some swear by the alloy wheels.
Alloy will break/crack while steel will usually only bend.
Vitara/Sidekick/Tracker also are straight bolt on, however 1998 Sidekick Sport and Vitaras will not take Samurai rims, as calipers are too large and interfere with rims unless a wheel spacer is used. And yes, Steel rims rule!
