Today the mechanic has opened up my rear diff to install the rear locker for me, but to our surprise my rear diff carrier has only one pin, not three like the American spec Samurai. The mechanic will install the locker with the OE pin, and with a single pin. Is that ok? Will there be any problems?
Nevermind my question, there was a confusion and misunderstanding. He was trying to install the entire third member of the vitara on the Samurai. I told him he will only need the ring and pinion, and not the whole third member. I'm out of town for a few days so I couldn't inspect what he is doing.
