Power steering pump...

Hi all,

Can someone please confirm that the attached photos show a power steering pump please? I'm having a bit of bother getting a refund from a breakers having used the internet to locate and subsequently buy an 'aircon compressor'; the photos show what he sent me!

Power steering pumps take fluid at a low pressure and it forces the fluid out at a high pressure. So it has a low pressure inlet and a high pressure outlet.
That is what you have there.

An air conditioning compressor pushes fluid through a sealed, high pressure system. It has a high pressure inlet and a high pressure outlet. Niether connection could work using a hose clamp connection like the steering pump above.
