Default No wipers!

So we come off the beach in our 88 Samuri two weekends ago and I go to hit the washer and wipers to clean off the sea spray. It sprays, the wipers go half way up and stop.
Now we smell burnt electrics, I pull over and after a quick check, no easy fix.
Anyhow, fuse is ok and I bought a new wiper motor, pluged it in to check if it works, and the new one doesn't work either. Now for the help request.
I looked at the wiring diagram and couldn't see a relay, is there one, also,
I left my repair manual four hours away and could someone tell me what the color codes of the wires are? I think there are four colors. Does this get grounded when you bolt the unit back to mounting?
Thanks in advance for any and all help.
Dave

Default No Wipers!

acbk8888, Thanks for your reply! What I did was lube all the swivel mechanisms under the dash for a few days and worked everything loose again. I ran a wire from a on/off switch, to fuse, to battery and I now have the slow wiper speed. I do believe that the salt air exposure along with the joints needing lube, burned out the relay, which I think is hidden up behind the glovebox. I must say, I got pretty good at removing to dash to work on the wiper motor.
Regards!!
