after coming down from the rough mountain trail and sinking in 3 feet of riverwater, the engine, all of a sudden dies down when its suppose to idle (in between shifts/neutral gear). The good thing was it occured when i was already on my way home over a flat concrete road. It could have been harder to bring home the sammy if it happened at the trail. I had to step on the accelerator everytime i step on the brakes and clutch whenever i changed gears to keep the idling speed alive, otherwise, the engine would just die down. what could have gone wrong? the engine purrs well, i dont think water entered the gas tank. please help.
