dont no if i have a lift

hi all im not sure if my suzuki sierra hase a body lift does anyone no how to tell if it has a lift its a lwb and i have not seen any stock or lifted if anyone has stock pics or pic of after a lift can u show me so i can work it out im just thinking of what lift kit i wont to get

The front springs are usually flat. If they are arched then it most likely does have a lift.

Thanks for the reply Rhinoman I think it does have lift the spring would be flat if I have 2'' Shackles do you no how tell how much the body lift it is and if I got Shackles would I need all the stuff like longer steering and brake lines stuff like that ?

On a stocker (no lift) there is only about .25" of space between the frame and the body when you look below the doors.
A simple shackle lift will not require longer brake lines or steering mods. Just keep the overall lift to 2" or less (up to 4" longer shackles).

If you find that the brake lines up front look a little tight during articulation, find a pair of line extensions from a junk yard. they will give you plenty of slack. You can find the extensions under the hood on the passenger side where the brake lines transition from body to frame.

Thanks billjohn for the advice I measured it and got 3” from the frame to the bolt that hold the spring on at the front and 6” from the frame to the bolt at the back it is little bit ruff measuring though is that how I should measure it

To check for a body lift, an easier place to look is right in front of a front tire. There is a body bushing that is only .25" tall that holds the front fender off of the frame. Here is a pic to show you where to look. Looking at the text that is printed on the photo, the bushing is just below the letter 'L' in the word 'signal'. The bolt that goes through this bushing is accessable behind the grill.



Measure the bushing. If it is more than .25" tall, then you have a body lift installed.

i got a few pics i have attached to this thread was i looking at the right place? on last pic and on the back wheel pic look up the top there is 2" gap there i dont no what was done to the car befor i got it is an ebay car anything could of been done to it lol

From the angle of the springs and the size of the bushings, it looks like it is stock height (no lift). Post a pic of the whole vehicle, I'm sure others would like to see it too!

It looks like someone has given it a small body lift by moving the bottom rubber to the top. That will allow a lot more noise and vibration through to the cab. It also looks like the body has moved slightly because the rubbers aren't properly centralised.
