SJ 413 water in footwell

hi folks

i have an 85 sj. i have a problem with rain water leaking in behind glove box and into the passenger footwell, it is also happening on the drivers side but less severe.

where is this wate comming in?

Look in your engine bay behind the carb, there is 1 or 2 drain pipes that drain water from the vents in front of the windscreen, they are about an inch in diameter and have a flap on the underside of them. If they become blocked by leaves etc, the water can back up and leak into the car.

Other than that it is going to be a torch and hosepipe
