fuel pump prob

hey guys, new to the site.

well yeah, a while ago i rolled my suzuki sierra jx 1989, and yeah i left it as it was for a while, but i been looking at it again to try and fix it

wats wrong is that wen i start it, it will start up but then jsut die. but after messing around for a while, i worked out that if i rapidly but gently tap the accelerator it will keep running, but only jst. if i hold it in, push it in too slowly or leave it, it will just die.

any idea why this is. the air/oil filters are fine. i avnt spotted the fuel filter, not too mechanical minded

if that is the case, feul filter is located on inside frame rail, right in front of gas tank....oh yeah right side frame rail

yeah i found it this morning, nuthn wrng with it though, but i fixed the car, cleaned all the hoses and she is wrkn perfectly, although ther is a lot of smoke coming out the exhaust but im asuming excess oil
