Default Suzuki Swift Gti Swap

Has anyone heard or done this swap.. it's the dual over head cam 1.3L. I was told it is the easiest swap to do. i was told it uses the same 1.3 block that my 87 sami has now, just the guts and top end are different.

can anyone give me some advise..?

Been done many times, biggest issue you will have is with the distributor, which mounts straight out of the cam housing and fouls the bulkhead. Fixes are...

1. Chopping a hole in your bulkhead, means removing Heater - Not so good.
2. Fitting an Adaptor dgtuning

3. Using a Mazda 323 GTW Dizzy cap/modified rotor, it is tight but does fit apparently.

The better conversion if you are offroading is the Vitara 16v motor, due to being single cam and 1600 you get a better torque curve, the swift is a screamer in comparison.

Also the Vitara motor is inline the same as the samurai.

Food for thought.

I will check that out. I really just want more of a power curve, for driving and for up in the hills. it's not bad for just playing in the hills but some more power never hurts.. thanks for the insight
