LJ80 jimny

i just got myself a LJ80 4x4 jimny, only for 350. as expected it has problems, main one i know of is the gear box, does anyone know how i could get myself on a another gear box if not, wat other gearboxs could i use. and has anyone heard of the engine having a high pitch noise from a speedo cable, mind you it needs to be replaced coz i've been guessing how fast i've been going lol
