Default Bolt Pattern

Can someone answer what is probably a simple question but it is sure driving me crazy. I have a 1993 JA11 soft-top Jimny. I live in Okinawa Japan and want to buy some new wheels and tires for my ride, ordering them from the states will be cheaper but I have no idea what size the bolt pattern is, now I am not so dumb that I don't know that I have 5 lugs. I am looking at some Mickey Thompson Classic Lock wheels but want to make sure I order the right size. I have a 6 inch lift and have 31-10.5-15 tires now but want run either 16 or 17 inch wheels. The local Jimny guru here speaks very little English and I speak very little Japanese, the only thing I can understand from him is my lift is high enough to run 17s.

Please help.

Default

Hey i have an 88 samurai. I found some tires on ebay one year that came with wheels. I had to google how to measure a bolt pattern. Anyway, I found out that my samurai is in fact 5 on 5.5. I had the guy actually measure them and send pics. Anyway, when you measure a 5 lug pattern you measure from one lung to the third lug (meaning: put only one lug in between the two measureing points). That will give you the second part of the 5 on 5.5 pattern. The first part comes from the number of lugs you have. For example, I have 5 lugs on a 5.5(measurement from lugs)inch pattern. The measurements are dont from center of lug to center of lug.
