1.3 liter straight 4 cyl is blowing alot of blue smoke. There is a oil and water mixture in the tailpipe. I have been told it could be the O ring around the pistons or it could be a pvc valve. Has anyone had this happen and how do I fix it. Thanks
Not PVC or O rings on the piston. One of two things though, Valve seals or piston oil rings. If it only blows smoke on start up it's valve seals, if it's always blowing blue, then its oil rings.
i have been told it is alot of work to change the oil rings. You basically have to pull the engine and dismantle it and then get it bored out. The other way is to pull the oil pan and get in to that way does this sound right? I have a feeling it is going to cost alot of money. I blows smoke all the time by the way.
