Your engine overheating (which I assume you have) is caused from conditions elsewhere.
You should not be experiencing front brake locking-like conditions in 4WD if you are operating the vehicle as it was designed. Slippery surfaces such as snow, ice, sand and mud will allow the front drive to perform as it should. NEVER use on pavement or other hard surfaces, in other words.
Separately, you may have a brake issue to contend with.
hello MAX, Heres what i know,we were in the desert we stoped to walk around, when i tried to start suzi had low battery(the altinator went out)so we tried to bump start it but it was like the brake was on,but was not on and it was in 2wd,but the front manual hub locks were locked,so we turned them to free wheel, and she rolled easy.
