My transmission blew up in my 87 suzuki Samurai I have already put a new starter, new fuel pump, rebuilt the engine, new carburator, redone most of the wiring, new clutch cable, new orbital battery, new windshiled, new tires, and a new top on it in very very few miles. And now to top it all off the tranny blew on me the other day, I was wondering if there was anyone in the southern cali area that new of a place to get a good deal on a used tranny or someone maybe selling one. I'm hoping to spend less then $100 on the tranny because I'm going to put a new clutch kit in it too and that's going to be a little over $100 for everything there. If not I'm just going to try to get rid of this vehicle, but it would have to either have a stock carb put on it for smog purposes or a little bit or be sold as an off road vehicle. I'd rather keep it and get a tranny for a decent price, but not sure how much they are going to end up trying to charge me for a used tranny.
