Default Location of crank sensor Ignis 1.3 GL 2000 x reg

Hi, I had problems with my car stalling at high speed which turned in to problems stalling at any speed after about 15 minutes from startup. I replaced the cam shaft sensor (mechanic showed me where it was) but now decided its the crank or crank angle sensor. Can anyone explain in lamens terms where it is?

I pulled out a sensor with the same connector as the cam sensor, at the back of the engine bay (quite tricky to get to) but it looks different to the cam shaft sensor and I was told they should look very similar. The top part looks identical but this one I've just removed has a long body underneath, covered in oil.

any help much appreciated
