Hi,
I'm the new on this forum. My wife bought last week an Ignis 1.3 (2001) with 70.000 kms on the clock. this car is very funny but on snow needs M+S tyres....!

Ok, i wonder if this car already have a ODB(2) connector and if yes where is it located? the only free connector under the dashboard seems to be the areal.

Sorry for my poor English, I do my best.

Kindly regards.

You should find the 16 pin OBD(2) connector just to the right of the centre consul. You can see the plug by looking under the consul - not to easy to see but its there. My Ignis is a RHD and the plug is as above. Yours might be on the other side as its a LHD.

Good luck

Hello,

Well found! under the dashboard. Easy to plug in.

But, my scantool detects the KWP protocol, starts reading a few seconds and seems to crash! Do you have any information about this protocol ? is it locked?

Good afternoon.

Raymond.

I had the same problem using a scanner I purchased on ebay from the USA. I then bought one from my local ARGOS and it works fine. Hope this helps

Cheers

Default Ignis RHD OBD2 socket location

I followed the thread about the location of OBD2 socket on the Ignis.

I had a quick look for it on my RHD 2001 model but I haven't yet found it.

Could you be a bit more specific on it's location please?

Hi,
As mentioned by Banditmania in post 2 the eobd connector is under the dashboard. I found it (lhd) following the axe of the gear selector.

I hope I give you the right way.

Kind regards,

Raymond, Belgium.
