Interested in 07 Suzuki Inglis

Hello you fine and knowledgable Suzuki people
I'm looking at purchasing an 07 Suzuki Inglis. It has been a demo car (at a local Suzuki garage), and has just slightly over 7'500 km. The price is Swiss Francs 16'800 sFr.
The said vehicle is equipped with a 1.3 l diesel engine and 2wd, 4 doors.
I have never owned a Suzuki before, but have been drawn to them due to their fuel economy. The price seems reasonable but there are a few lingering questions in my mind.
Can someone point me in the right direction perhaps a thread or some advice when it comes to vehicle safety. How well do these cars fair in a heavy collision, and are the driver and passengers protected well? Are they still worth fixing after a collision, or do they pretty much just crumble up and end up being a write off?
Also what positive and negative things could you tell me, to influence my decision in buying this vehicle? I forgot to check, but are these 5 or 4 seater cars? How accomodating is the trunk space with the seats folded down or left up?
