Default High Performance Modifications

What modifications can you do to the ignis sport that give you a good boost in power?

Thanks Steve

My homies at ignsiklub.hu swear on oil based air filter. A sport exhaust system could give it a boost, but buy only those which are engeneered for Ignis only (80$ in Hungary), else you may loose your torque. I can personally recommend using Castrol RS 0W40 full syntetic engine oil.

hello mate..I am in cyprus i cant help u expect writing my modification..i am quite pleased about what i did but the problem is that in very cold road situations you may lose the performance..i am giving you a list.if you follow it you will be pleased..

Wiesco high compression pistons
ACT clutch
walbro 255lph fuel pump
Regulator
4-1 Manifold
51mm downpipe
51mm exhaust pipe
Grounding system
Grounding stabilizer
Apexi Springs
Apexi Muffler
Blitz air intake kit
Greddy e-manage Ultimate (if you have money put a motec M880-m800 or AEM..it will give you double performance)

hopefully these will be usefull..thanks..

1) You can get a standard off the shelf K&N Induction kit (check their website - I thnk you'll need the 57I part) which comes complete with all parts/instructions.
2) You can get it rechipped -check out Dastech's website.
3) Lower the suspension, and wider alloys
4) Preformance exhaust from the front cat to the twin exit exhaust.

I had all this done and raised the bhp from 95bhp to 130bhp. VERY noticable and sounds VERY nice and throaty

Good luck

mate i dont think that you will gain "high performance" from that..i you want to keep your car NA work on fuel/air ration...Dont go on small things...think wider

Btw, the flywheel of ignis is 5.8 kg..I heard about it from a friend and i immediately found a 3.6kg one..sit works

Default Pod Filters are rubbish

Everyone thinks that pod filters give better power.. well they do make a different noise that's about it.

If you want to get instant more power without spending a cent. simply lighten up the car. the lighter the car the more power to weight you have. take out anything you don't need.. spare tyre, rear seats, what ever.

You're better to spend the money elsewhere than pod filters like on a decent mod e.g. semi slick street tyres they are the first thing I would suggest you do to any car.. better acceleration, better braking and much faster cornering. they only cost about US$120-150 each and will crap over a gay air filter. The ignis already has light weight rims so no need to change those. if you want some other good mods then go for an exhaust. Here is one half the weight of the original.

Fujitsubo - Legalis R - Nengun Performance

cheap but helpful part if you drive your car really hard.
Suzuki Sport - Sports Thermostat - Nengun Performance

upgrade the clutch too:
Exedy - Single Sports - Sports - Nengun Performance

The clutch or the tyres or exhaust or lightening up the car will be much better bang for buck than an any air filter.
