Nobody answered the question yet and I also have the same problem . I even bought an amp today (it was on sale). Looking up under the dashboard I didn't get any answers because there was a metal plate in front of the Blaupunkts rear end. I could of course just unmount the HU but that would cost me the warranty. If you know about it, please let me (and Niclaas) know!

i've not seen it so idon't know for sure but every stereo i have seen is removed using a pair of radio keys. You need to them and I imagine a Suzuki to DIN adapter wiring harness. Try Halfords they are normally quite good and helpful with stuff like that. You could also just ask the dealer how to take the radio out - they'll probably just do it for you! Finally I don't know what size the radio is - if its not a standard DIN size you'll need an adapter plate (which will also be in Halfords).

Right, serious bit over with now...

When you remove the radio you lose the clock on the integrated display of the dashboard....It would be great to be able to hook the Blaupunkt up to a amp and try and save some face, but the lack of a line out limits that. You can actually change a speaker out to a stereo line out (I am a sound engineer so I know this for sure) but that has some warranty issues. My car audio man in Esbjerg says that a front face plate (covering the massive hole where the Shitepunkt was before) for the Ignis will be out within 6 months. What does your dealer say about a radio upgrade Hans66? BTW how is your reception on the radio - I lose P3 the whole time.

i haven't spoken to my dealer about upgrading yet, but i figure there could be warranty issues. radio reception is ok, i haven't noticed any fall outs, but then again i mostly play cd's when i drive

...sounds like a good idea to me; changing the speaker out to a line out even tho' it might affect the warranty. as long as its only the warranty on the blaupunkt and not the entire car. if that's the case i'll forget about the amp and just try fitting 6"x9" speakers in the back. i believe with some cutting and carving they would fit right in without to many problems.
