Left side I use 2 prybars.
Right side use and extension and hammer to tap off stub shaft.

They sometime oxidize in the splines of the cv into the transmission. I have used a long 5ft pry bar and some PB Blast (breaks down rust) to get it out. When you put the new or old one back on, use some wheel bearing grease or transmission assembly gel on the shaft to ease the reinstallment.
