Default need advice. P2135 error.

Hello.

Seven months ago, I had a P2135 come up on my wife's car. We took it in, and they straightened out.

This morning, my wife's check engine light comes back on. I drive her to work, and I go to O'Reilly's and hook up their diagnostic machine to her car. The P2135 error appears. Inadvertently, the check engine light went off.

I used the diagnostic again, and I still get the P2135 error.

I drive over an hour to my dealership, and they aren't willing to help or even look at my car because the check engine light wasn't on. I told them that I had the same issue earlier this year, but still no willingness to help.

I was told to just wait until the check engine light comes back on, and then come back. I called Suzuki's Customer Service, and they pretty much repeated what the dealership said.

My question is since nothing was fixed or even touched, how long will it take for the check engine light to reappear?

The code P2135 refers to a Throttle Position Sensor Correlation. Most of the time it is the Sensor that is causing the failure, since there is two voltage reading in one sensor that are not reading the same values. The bad part about this is that Suzuki does not offer a sensor replacement, they replace the whole Throttle Body Assembly.

Default P2135 code, tps

I went to autozone and they sold me a throttle position sensor for my 07 forenza. Can I change the sensor it self or do I need to change out the whole throttle body? Did they sell me something I can not use?

it depends on what year car you have. does your car have the drive by wire throttle system?
