Interesting. But I don't have the money nor the time to see if my car with that setup will pass smog.

I think that you might fail smog on the spot for just not having the first cat...even if you passed.

The last time I had a smog test I did not see the tester check the bottom of my car for the visual, but I may have gotten lucky that day or California droped it. I check the testing for Cali emissions and see.

No sure yet, but like I've said it'll be be stupid expensive.

There will be a test pipe available, it replaces the CAT completly. Headers replace the first CAT since it's in such a horrible place, so who knows if the car would pass emissions with headers and cat-back anyways. Sure can't test it on my car since its has so much into it.
what do you mean by stupid expensive? $600 or $700 for the cat back? when do you think you might have some pics or more info? will it bevery loud? an n1 style or more of a touring style?

I haven't even a clue on the cat-back yet. We're focusing on one part of it at a time for this second. I'll get sound clips and everything...problem is my current cat-back is very very loud. We'll there might be a couple different mufflers to choose from, even a center exiting exhaust has been talked about. When we start on the cat-back side of these I'll likly start a poll to see what muffler people are most intrested in.

But cant you ask them to test the car anyway and if it passed they can't do anything about it? Because how else are you suppose to prove it can pass or not. Plus aren't the smog test places are not suppose to charge you if you fail your test?
