Actually, that's the plan but i'm gonna throw in some new rod bearings... but i dont want to throw a rod through the block.

What's up with the project? I also have 1.8, and think of putting supercharger instead of turbocharger, but my wonder is will combusion chamber has enough volume, and will stock pistons be hard enough to bear 0.3 - 0.4 bar? Did you change anything inside the engine?
