1998 Esteem Overdrive issue?
1998 Esteem automatic 1.6L 200,000+ miles (actual miles on tranny and general vehicle history unknown)
Symtoms:
-"O.D. off" indicator light cycles on and off.
-Whining sound when driving at freeway speed when warm after which check engine light comes on
-Snap-On diagnostic anylizer found code "Solonoind B" (transmission) stuck.
At this point I assume that "Solonoid B" is the one that controls the overdrive and I am trying to locate it for replacement.
I have searched threads on this subject without success.
Wondering if tranny fluid change has cured this problem for anyone?
