I've located rear struts and springs for my 2000 Esteem. Before I buy them (no return policy) I need to ne sure they will fit my car. I need help to confirm that the VIN of the car these are coming from is really a 2000 Esteem 4 door sedan.

The VIN the salvage yard gave me is: 1JS2GB31S745182911.

Can anyone help me?

Salvage yard now tells me the VIN is: JS2GB31S7Y5182911.. but I still need help confirming this VIN is for a 2000 Suzuki Esteem.

Yes this is a 2000 model, that first VIN they gave you was invalid.

Based on your confirmation of the VIN as being for a 2000 Esteem I purchased the struts from the salvage yard this morning and had a mechanic install them this afternoon. PERFECT fit. Thank you ever so much. The salvage yard has a no return policy and I couldn't afford to buy the struts and them not fit. I got the VIN from the salvage yard but I didn't know how to decode it so the VIN alone was useless to me. A big thanks to you for knowing how to do that.
