thanks for clearing it up about the filters, anyways i worked up the courage yesterday and decided i was going to try this mod myself. I just have one quick question now, maybe more later. Anyways how did you make sure that there was a tight seal from the foam on the top of the hood to the foam fixed under the hood?

I first marked the area on the underside of the hood where the lower foam (engine bay heat shield) touches and than pasted a layer of PU foam thick enough to press on the lower foam's top boundaries.

Both the foams press each other when hood is down ensuring a tight a seal.

Its a simple but very effective mod as I can feel the world of difference now over before. This intake is very quite and freely floing as compared to the factory set up.

Thanks.

I am gonna add a diy engine breather filter as well, crafted using paper element. Will post pix once done and fitted.

Have grounded my engine head and chassis as well, posting pix.

This has made starting a bit easier.

one more quick question where did you get the foam to do it? ive looked in hardware stores and even a building centre and cant find it. closest thing ive found is foam tubes that you put over hot water pipes to insulate them

Hi , its also known as insulating foam, can easily get it from industrial suppliers or sofa upholstery makers.

If you dont get it easily, you may use any heat insulating material.

You may use this as well : http://www.made-in-china.com/image/2...n-Material.jpg

Regards.
