Most foreign engines don't have a gasket but rather gasket sealer, they offer a gasket for this one however, I chose not to use one, I've had better luck with ultra silicone, never had a leak with it yet and it doesn't shrink like gaskets.

I know you have to remove the Xmember under the engine and exhaust downpipe.

If you don't have access to a parts washer get a can of gunk engine cleaner and a parts brush, completely liquefy all the gunk inside and out of the pan, it will take repeated spraying and brushing, spray off with water and dry.
The gunk will also soften any sealant on there, use a stiff bristle brush or scraper to get it off, you can do this before you hose it off. Use a razor blade on the engine surface. Clean the engine surface with brake clean. You may want to inspect and/or clean the oil pickup tube at this point. Reseal.

Thanks for the reply, Isuzuzuki man.
Is there anyway to seal it on the outside without taking the pan off ?

Nope, unfortunately not.

My mechanic changed mine, and he used black silicone I believe, it was hard to find a gasket. At first he was going to remove the exhaust pipe at the join, three studs and a gasket. However he just removed the exhaust manifold and lowered it. That way there was no need to buy all the bits, and it bolted up with no need for a new gasket, just used the old one. So far no problem and it was done this February.

One thing I failed to mention, let the silicone dry at least 8 hrs before adding oil.
