My daughter broke key off in ignition switch! Help! How do you get the ignition switch off?

Easier to get the old key out using small dental style pick and treezers.

Remove the plastic covers around the column and should be obvious how to access. The lock assembly is replaced not just the key cylinder. You have 2 security bolts ( bolts with no heads) that hold the clamp around the column. You can get these out with a punch or cut a slot in them with a Dremel tool so as to use a screwdriver. New lock assembly has new break-a-way bolts.

Thanks, will try that, we do have the steering wheel off and all plastic covers so just need to find these bolts.
