Default Hey hey, got a factory manual

I own a 97 Baleno/Esteem 1.6 Dohc sedan with 83,000 km on it. I live in Indonesia and cars here cost a pretty penny. MIne set me back 75 million rupiah (about $9000 USD) when I bought it 2nd hand last year. Since then I have searched high and low for some sort of info regarding repairs.
Then I met this indonesian guy on the internet working as a pen pusher for Suzuki who photocopied a manual on the sly as they're not allowed to be given out or copied and sent it to me (it cost him 1/2 a week's wage but he refused any payment - a lot of Indonesians are very generous).
It is not complete and some sections are hard to read but the most important stuff to do with the engine and electronics and sparking system is there.
So if you need specific specifications for something like valve clearances or the like just reply. Leave a little info about yourself and your car and I will try my best to help you - no charge.

hi there,
can you plaese help me!!!

my car was direct japanese import. it didn't come with the owner's manual.
i have a very common problem which frustrates me a lot.
i need to replace the bulb in the rear light - a position light bulb. in my previous car that was the simplest job in the world. in this one,
i unscrewed the two screws at the back of the light and tried to remove the thing for quite some time - without any result.

is there any place on the internet where you can actually download the owner's manual?
there used to a link to the website with the manual but unfortunately it doesn't exist anymore.

thanks.

@ Pedjok--is it the cv boot?

Anyhoo, you might want to look on ebay for a cd based manual, only about $10 and serves you just as well because it's the manual in .pdf form.

The CV joint is the actual joint where the axle is connected to the wheel. The CV boot is a protective covering which covers the CV joint. The boot is usually filled with oil or some form of lubricant to protect the joint.

hey rohanrohipnol

Let me know if you could share with me a few pages of that manual.
I need to perform a timing belt change on my 1996 Esteem 1.6l.

Thank you so much!

Hello there, my horn does not work at all. I tried everything. Can you please scan me the page that deals with the electrical horn system?

I appreciate your effort, thanks!

Hey, can you send me a copy of the cam shaft drawing? I'm planning to replace the oil seal on the distributor side of the cam shaft. I just want to see hoe it looks so that I could do it right. thanks
