Thumbs up

Just got back from the dealer with no solution to my problem. Maybe one of you esteemed Baleno owners know where this problem comes from.

We drive our Baleno GTI mainly in town. Which means a lot of up- and downshifting, pulling up etc. Similar to being in traffic jam. In both situation the following problem occurs; when the engine is stationary, it revs up to 3000 rpm. The only way to stop this is by releasing the clutch and speeding into gear! With a GTI this means a lot of speed when I do not want this!

The mechanics have not yet found the problem, because the problem is not always occuring. We do feel that it happens more in warm weather conditions and when the engine is really warm. Coolant is not the problem, nor the sensor for stationnary. The computer does not give of a failure reading either.

Spooky! Anybody with suggestions?

Thanks

Balenos tend to sometimes have electrical problems with wiring and in car computer, probably why mechanics didn't pick it up
