Hi,

So I picked up my Esteem GL Wagon Friday - and survived the first heatwave /w humidity and smog alerts in Toronto without A/C (I'm lucky and commute in the opposite direction from rush hour traffic, just before or after it the peak times).

The only thing I feel like doing with it atm is - replacing the floor matts with good rubber and fixing the rattle of the trunk floor. The spare is held down good, with a good peice of foam under it to keep it quiet, but it is the plastic roof over the spare that rattles - and the container top directly above it is loose.

To fix it I am thinking of either putting in some sheets of packing foam, or some rubber at all the contact points to absorb the vibrations and hopfully dampen the noice.

My question, has anyone else tried this, or know of another good fix?

Thanks,
Davis

On my '99 wagon there are small felt pads on all four corners of the pail/bucket and on the top tray/cover as well. I get the occassional rattle but the felt pads usually does the trick.
