Default 2009 4X4 of the Year!

Just got my Feb 2009 issue of Peterson's 4Wheel & Off-Road. The Suzuki Equator just got top honors. It beat out the following rigs:

Dodge Ram
Ford F-150
Hummer H3
Kia Borrego
Toyota Sequoia

Hoooyaaaa!

Nissan is far from a p.o.s.

The equator ain't a truck Zook fans should be proud of, in my opinion. It's merely a rebadged Nissan Frontier. Suzuki should have developed it's own truck. They could have taken the platform of the new Jimny, beefed up and stretched the chassis a bit, put a truck bed in the back, thrown in the new GV 3.2L engine, and that's it! Like Nissan using the Frontier platform for the much larger Titan.
