Hold onto your wallet. Just dropped off my Aerio SX AWD for Service Light on
and fliud changes. Oil and filter, Trans flushed and filled, and AWD fluid changed.

Light was coolant thermostat code. Will fix at later date. $441.00. Not $41.00, just as I wrote, $441.00 at a new Suzuki dealer called CAUSEWAY SUZUKI IN MANAHAWKIN, NJ. The sales team told me they want to bring in business! The exact service at a lube center would have been approximately $220.00. This blatent type of robbery will hurt the sales of Suzuki cars due to people like myself spreading the word. This was a large multi brand dealership which could afford to lose customers. Maybe smaller dealerships will be different. $110.00 of the $441.00 was to read the diagnostics. Can you believe this?

Thats a bunch a crap, your dealer is screwing you, make a complaint to Suzuki, I've provided thier Customer Relations number below. My dealers checked codes on my car three times for different reasons, and never charged me a cent. Don't blame Suzuki, blame your dealer. Secondly don't return to that one. If there are other dealers in the area go to another one.

The American Suzuki Customer Assistance Center is open
Monday - Friday 6:30am - 5:00pm (pst)
Phone: 1-800-934-0934
Fax: 1-714-524-8499

Reminds me of my home town, there was a Mazda dealer that was quadrupling the recommended Mazda charges. Mazda Canadas recommended service charge 100.00, Gerry Gordon's Mazda charge 400.00. Funny thing is that they went clear across the country and 90 percent of the Mazda dealers were over charging.

This 2003 Aerio has 59,000 miles. I obviously drive alot! The car has performed excellently. I have a very good GE extended warranty, but can't cover the work mentioned. The dealership has now lost at least 4 new car purchases and 6 vehicle services my family and I would have provided. I will not complain again, I will just go away. I should not have to pursue this issue, the dealership should pursue me. I did make the Sales Dept. aware of this sales killing treatment.

When you drive as much as I do, you want good dealership service knowing that it's costly, but $441.00 is a slap in the face.

If you know the specifics of the 'code' they read and what that entailed as far as service I'd be interested in the information. I'm in contact with a few Suzuki Service managers both Canadian and America and would be interested it running the information by them.

CODE P0128 They said they found stuck thermo. The invoice states that they performed system analysis including EEC test finding stored DTC , then performed pinpoint test which yielded the code. $110.00 The Service Rep said it was ok to d
drive the car and when I retrived the car, the dash light was off.

The thermo was going to be ordered for Saturday along with a cost of over $300.00 to complete. If I had the work that was completed along with the thermo job and front pads with new rotors, my total invoice would have been over $1100.00!
