Suzuki Aerio sx questions

Hello all, i'm in the car market once again after selling my miata and i am looking for a reliable daily driver with "comfy" features. I came upon a suzuki Aerio locally and I have never owned, dealt or know anyone who owns a suzuki so i'm not really sure where to start.

2002 Suzuki Aerio Hatchback, 1 Owner, BC car, 5 Spd.

I'm going to see the vehicle this coming monday evening, and I have no clue where to start.

Any tips on what to check? Is it a good idea to even check it out?Yes, I am mechanically inclined as I worked on cars before so I know the basics on what to check, but i'm looking for specifics about this car.
Talk me into buying or not buying a suzuki
The reason i'm interested is because of all the options it comes with, which i've never had before in my miata and honda civic.

hey welcome to the club. i would also recomend checking out aeriostyle.com for more help. the 2.0l is rather stright forward the only real problem it had with camfoller noise dol to poor lubercation alot of time caused be a poor oil filter element like fram. you will here some noise but that is from the timming chain.

Wasn't there an issue with the mass air flow system(?) in the 2002 model year?

No never a recall or tsb like with the lifters. On the 2.0l i think allot of the problems stem from either cleaning the throttle body and spaying the sensor or just a dirty sensor due to its location in the throttle body. As for the 2.3l i think its proxi to the filter and peoples reluctance to clean it.
