Default Suzuki Aerio SX Not Running Right and mechanic has given up

About 6 weeks ago my Suzuki Aerio stalled while I was waiting at a traffic light. Did it again a block later, no check engine lights came on at all. Took it to 2 mechanics, we've tried replaying the Mass Air Flow sensor, throttle body part and now the Crank Shaft sensor and it still runs crappy. As my mechanic said if you want to drive it like a little old lady it runs good, but nothing too fast (RPMs I guess). Any suggestions? He said the fuel pressure, etc. is good. Still no lights going off.

we have a 2003 aerio that would not idle, stalled and ran terrible. changing the MAP did not help. But I took a small hammer and tapped the egr valve and it smoothed right out and ran fine. there was carbon in the egr that stopped the needle valve from working. might try it but no promises that it is the answer. worked for us.

I have the same thing today. It caught on fire above the exhaust after starting and stalling a few times. My Avenger did the same and melted the fuel pump harness. The fuel pump caught on fire. I wonder if it's the fuel pump or oxygen sensor.

Well as for my Suzuki I had it tested at a auto shop and they said all spark plugs were misfiring because oil from the valve cover dripped into the plugs. So I need to replace two cats, Two O2 sensors, Plugs,Valve cover gasket, and muffler. HAHAHAHAHAHA I hope all that fixes it.

I also found out that the intake manifold was leaking. Used carb cleaner spray on the gasket area of the manifold while it was running at an idle.. bubbled right up to show the leak. fixed that by tightening the bolts and the idle cleared right out.
