Default idle problems

hi i bought a aerio 2003 model i took it to a mechanic he put in a new airflow sensor.. but he says my car wont accept it .. the programmimng... why is this .. car will start but die out after 5 min or at a stop light,,

Try cleaning out the ISC valve. If that doesnt work, you'll need to have it properly diagnosed..
Throwing parts at it can get very expensive..

he has had my car for week now,, he put old part back in it fired it up .. he put new part in wont do anything.. why wont it program... he cant figure it out.. what should i do

Airflow sensor needs no programming..
Maybe he's using wrong part?

this guy has my car for weeks now.. he puts new mass air flow sensor on it the car wont even start.. he puts the old one back in and it starts but dies out .. says my car wont accept it still. car dies out at a red light or just stalls out .. what is the problem

Do you get any diagnostic trouble codes?
Maybe it's time for a new mechanic..

yes says maf sensor and transmisssion sensor but it shifts fine he just ant get it to accept

Did the get the right one? in the old 2.0l engine the MAF is in the throttle body, and to my knowledge the maf cannot be bought new without the whole throttle body(even at the dealer). So he might have a used one. in such case the used one may be faulty too. either way this would throw a CEL if you could get those code i can pull out the factory manual and get you all the help i can.

thanks.. i checked a few things a guy says it may be idle sensor now.. too much air flow thru, i hope so .. it will be cheap to fix other wise buying whole throttle kit its over 1000 ,i dont have it.
