I bought my 2006 Aerio SX brand new in 2006. The car has 52,000 miles on it and I am having problems all at once. About two years ago, while it was still under warranty, the motor mounts failed. The dealership replaced them with no problems. Now I am having odd engine vibrations, it started when you would reverse with the vibration going away once you put it into another gear. Now it does it in reverse and also when you slow down to stop or are idling. Could it be the motor mounts again? Has anyone else had problems with this? On top of that the passenger side door won't open. The door handle works from the inside, but the outside handle seems to be stuck in place and won't release. I am unsure if the door handle itself failed or the locking mechanism? I don't want to tear the door panel apart and replace the part that isn't causing the issue. Any help with either issue would be awesome. Thanks!
well first how are you felling the vibration in the whole car or through the steering wheel? The rotors could be warp that could cause vibration and shuttering through the steering wheel. its easy to tell if they are. just jack up the car and spin the tire you will hear the rubbing. the door being stuck is odd, you can pull off the door panel and look at it its all rather simple but held together will litter plastic clips and guide rails.

The vibration is definitely coming from the engine. It vibrates the whole car and even does it when the car is in park. How hard are the door panels to get off the aerio? Do you have to have any sort of special tool to get the clips out. Thanks for your help.
Sounds like engine mounts are failed. Which ones were replaced last time?
It will be the front and rear LOWER mounts...more than likely the rear one is in worse shape. It's not uncommon to have repeat failure.
The door panel has a few phillips head screws to remove, and then just grab and pull. Unlike GM cars you can reuse Suzuki clips - they don't normally break. If I recall there is a screw behind the inner door handle - you have to pry off the cover on the handle to see the screw. Another screw in with smaller inner handle to open the door. Can't remember if there are anymore.
correct there is a top cover on the door handle that has two screws behind it and one behind the door lever. then starting at the bottom pop the clips and work your way up the sides. it is one whole piece, once its all popped lift the door up. then you need to push the door lever through the panel and unclip the controls. after that you have the whole door at your disposal.

I'm getting the exact same vibration on our '06 Aerio. Front motor mount is done for sure. Any recomendations on where to pick up replacement motor mounts? I'm assuming the dealer isnt the cheapest option.
