i just bought an aerio with the same problem. It is not hard but you will need a press or a machine shop with one and about $35 to press it
remove hub cap or center cap
loosen axle nut (30 mm) and lug nuts
jack up car
take off wheel
remove caliper 2 14 mm bolts
take off rotor
remove lower strut mount 2 17mm bolts
remove axle nut
hub comes out with bearing inside
take to shop
bearings range from $29 ebay made in taiwan, $60 timken, $89 bca national take your pick
part # 510077

On ebay they do not sell the front bearing with hub only the rear.

I took mine apart today. I forgot to tell you about the tie rod end and ball joint that have to be loosened and taken apart to get the steering knuckle off, but it is self explanatory once you get the rotor off. The tie rod is one 17 mm castle nut and the ball joint is a regular 17 mm nut and bolt. Air tools were nice ,but we used a 30mm on a half inch drive with a length of pipe to get the axle nut off because the air gun wouldn't budge it..
we used a 40 ton shop press to get the hub off the knuckle ,but it came out pretty easy.To get the race off the hub you need an air or electric grinder. grind a slot in the race until it is almost through ,then use a cold chisel to break it.The knuckle end you need to remove a large snap clip and press what remains of the bearing out of the knuckle.

Here is suzuki part numbers and dealer cost.
43420-50852 $73.40
43440-72002 $63.42
09381-72002 $3.45
That is the bearing, hub and outer race . I have a friend that works at suzuki and he pays 10% over cost. We were at the computer today so it is current. Expect to pay a lot more unless you can ask for a discount. I ended up buying the bearing only off ebay for $30 shipped. Suzuki wanted 5 days to get it so i figured that for half the cost i would buy it off ebat and get it sooner. My hub and race were fine.

Default its hard

There is not a lot of information on these cars because they did not sell a lot of them. Thank goodness they do not break a lot. Even the 2 Suzuki techs i was with today said they were well built and they would buy one too. That is rare at a dealership.
The other problem is parts. I called at least 6 places and only 1 could have the part in 1 day(napa) the rest were 3-5 days but N.A.P.A. wanted $125 for the bearing.
I was lucky . The car had been driven with a totally wiped out bearing by the previous owner (18 year old girl) to a point of danger. Luckily the hub and axle are fine.

Yes its true that there is some information on these cars but not like my corolla's. I can go to corolland and I get an answer in hours. This site only has about 5 pages , then it goes back to 2008.
My taurus is similar.
Where is all the info on these cars? I was the first person on the web to make a writeup on a simple repair like a hub and wheel bearing.Parts take days to get in my area and I live in the motor city. Where are the schematics, the manual trans tear down procedures , the common solutions for obd2 codes ,and which oils and lubes work best, to name a few ?

I am currently just getting into this car. I will have it driveable next week when my bearing comes in. .Then we are putting a full paint job in black diamond metallic on it .That blue black pearl looks stupid and faded. I stripped all the emblems off too. I have 17 inch rims on it ,but they are going bye bye. I think the wide rims helped wipe out my bearing and i hate low profile tires. There are too many pot holes and curbs to hit besides the crappy ride . I am not sure what rims to put on it. Maybe miata or zx2's chromies with 195 55 15's. Where are the 4x100 rim guides like i learned from my corolla?
I am also getting a spoiler off a 96 escort that will bolt right on from a u pull junkyard for $20. Where is the write up on that? I did the same thing on my taurus with an oem spoiler i bought off the web. It has an integrated brake light . That should lift the rear sight lines because that large trunk slopes down too much.
Just getting parts is ridiculous and my best friend works at the dealer. My front bumper cap is missing ( part # 71712-54g50-$28.31 dealer cost) .Try finding that number online. Granted ,Suzuki wants to sell already painted ones which is idiotic. That means instead of a primed part that is in stock , I have to wait 5 days until Wednesday to get a part I am going to paint anyway. I guess they expected a large number of these to fall off and did not want to have to paint them at the dealerships. Great engineering, eh. Gee , how about painted bumpers too?
Well ,do you see what I mean. I have owned the car 4 days and it already mystifies me. It is a low volume inexpensive car. Thank goodness it has a reputation for high quality. If you can help me with answers or information ,I would appreciate it. So far , the car is a mystery.

hi guys
thnaks for all your help, forgot to metion that i live in the uk were the suzuki liana/aerio is seen as a bit of a joke, it was made fun of by a programe called top gear where they put a star in a resonably priced car and raced it round a track, intrestingly the car did not break it was the guys driving it,

my wife bought the car against my better judgement but she loves it, i have yet to see another one on the road, we have the same problem here with spares, there is not a suzuki garage in Cambridge where i live, the nearest is about 30 miles away,

the other thing i cant find in the uk is a workshop manual for the car also has anyone hard wired a sat nav into one of these cars, i am thinking of doing this and it would be helpful if someone could let me know how they conected to the loom, the fuse box is near the wheel so that would seem like a good place to start
