Default '03 Aerio bogs when leaving stop light only

it only bogs for a sec or 2 then all is fine. Does anyone know what the maf readings should read at idle,2k rpm,at part throttle or cruise speeds? Is the timing adjustable on these J20a motors. the cvvt unit is adjustable but what is the procedure? Btw I just bought this car(75k miles), rebuilt the crank and replaced one rod. So the timing chains were re-installed by the book. So i've never had it running until now and I dont know what normal is on the scan tool reaadings.
any help is appreciated.

so any Suzuki mechanics here or just enthusiests? anyone have a generic obd2 scanner? Nobody? If this is too technical of a question then can you guys atleast tell me if the timing is adjustable or is this the typical newbie welcome I should expect?
Well atleast I know there are 31 people here who are clueless, how about the rest of you Suzuki guru's. Anyone actually tune there cars aside from installing body kits and wheels.

wow you must be really desperate to trash the people you want help from. First the easy part. For the most part the timing is not adjustable. You can though adjust it 1-2 degrees both ways by turning the crankshaft sensor. the other reading you are look for you need to tell me what exactly you are looking for(volts, ect). Also you might be thinking too much into this. your maf is located in your Throttle body. You might want to clean your throttle body, remove your maf and iat sensor and clean that with maf cleaner first. Also what scanner are you using ? do you have a code? give me all the info you have and i can help. Also j-seres engines don't have CVVT, it has VIM Variable Intake Manifold.

Damn your right, the CMP is not a cvvt unit. Dont know what made me think that. But the CKP sensor is behind the bellhousing. I'm looking for maf readings like in lb/hr, I have the timing at 6-8 degrees at idle via my Innova scanner. It's running rich and just today it thru a rich code as soon as it when into closed loop. But all this seems to be intermittent, as one minute my fuel trim is at -18 then back to 0. Did'nt want to move the CMP sensor yet, I bought this car not running because of a spun bearing so I just assumed everything else was in the proper spec so I left it as is. Only thing I can guess why it's running rich intermittently is because of a bad maf reading, it reads .300-.350 lb/hr at idle and maybe it's reading high.
I know I was being a bit rude since i'm new and I apologize. It's just that this engine has been out for 10 years and I thought for sure people on here would automatically know technical stuff like this, Or have a good idea.

well as usual I answer my own questions. After doing some more searching I found the timing is to be adjusted using a Suzuki scanner and is put in fixed ignition timing then you can play witht the CMP and set it to 4-6 btdc. then you exit menu and it should go back to about 8 btdc.
As far as the maf readings, all I could find was a specification of
key on/engine off at connector c46-24 and ground you need .5-1.0v.
key on idling you need from same connector 1.3-1.8v.
this will increase with rpm.

So there you go people, you learned something. If someone knows a cheat way to get passed the Suzuki scanner please share as i've been nice enough to share this.
And if someone has a technical question that noone else can answer, just ask me. Thank you.

i hate to tell you this but allot of people tend to be busy... but on the other side of this most aerio owners don't use this site anymore(for about 4 years now). i tend to stop by to see what some wayward aerio owners are up too. So you could see why you not getting much of an answer. now i was trying to to help but i had to verify that the reading i was getting on my j23 would be compatible with with your smaller bore different electrical set up j20. no one has adjusted the timing before without the suzuki device. there has been allot of trying but no. but i have seen people tune the air and fuel with the apexi safc. i can pull out my manual and give you the direct procedure if you want.

well I aquired Mitchell on Demand software and that's were I got the info from. If this site has died out then were has everyone gone. I'm a part of another forum and most every state will have their local gatherings so it keeps the site alive. So i'm guessing it does'nt happen so much here.
