rain spots/acid rain

how to remove acid rain and rain spots? what is the recommended product? my 02 aerio has a lot of them in the windshield and can't see much ahead when its raining.

I think if they're etched into the glass, you're sol.

If it's dried sediment you might try using car wash & lots of rubbing.

Maybe several times as the cleaning solvent in car wax is not very strong.

I'd shy away from ANY polishes, abrasives (even light ones) as they will leave scratches the you may only see with oncoming headlights.

Afterwards, you can clean off the wax w/window cleaner that contains ammonia.

Had this on my first car and tried all sorts of cleaners but believe it or not RAIN-X was the cure.

Try Rain-X!!!!

Became a fan that day.
