Changing manual trans oil

I need to replace manual trans fluid in 2003 Suzuki Aerio hatchback. I found where I could drain the actual oil but not too sure what hole I can use to refill the trans.

Is it correct to say I need 1.7L of R134a compatible trans fluid.

Well you add oil to any transmission through the dipstick tube (you really will want to get a funnel) It requires patience if you have none I suggest getting the dealer to do it. Please note that if you drain the MT oil and it is brown not pink then it is burnt and you may have crystallized the the clutch material. If this is the case then the new more viscous MT fluid may break your clutch to pieces, You may want to get the car load tested (Don't do it yourself unless your ASE certified and willing to replace the clutch yourself if you hand grenade it) If your fluid is burnt but the car passes a load test then look into replacing the clutch as soon as you can just to be safe...unless you like to live dangerously. All in all I do not recommend changing any fluids by yourself except engine oil, coolant, gas, and washer fluid. Brakes should be done with a friend... I'm sorry ... an intelligent friend. And Transmission fluid should just always be handled by the dealer a qualified tech or a man who's got a spare clutch and an alignment tool. Even just adding too much fluid can damage your transmission big time. I know as you may have noticed I talk too much so I hope you find this help full and check out my ride once I take some pictures of her. As far as I know, pretty rare to see dipstick tube on manual trans. On a manual trans, I don't see how the transmission oil could be related to clutch since the trans fluid is used to lubricate the gears and bearings...

Because if the oil is Burnt then the entire transmission overheats during use and this may crytalize the Clutch material.

Math, there is no dipstick on a manual tranny. There is a plug in the side of the tranny, very similar to the drainage one. This is the correct place to fill the tranny. It is not very easy but you can do it with care. You will need a small hose attached to a small funnel and a little patience. You have to fill until the oil comes out through the same hole, then close the plug, that's all. The manual trans. oil is not categorized as R134a, the Air Conditioning refrigerant does. The correct category for this car is 80W90 or 85W90.

It is not correct that a burnt oil can damage the clutch disc. Over heating inside the tranny due to burnt oil is considerably less that the normal heat produced by the cluth disk itself spinning over the pressure plate and the flywheel. Also, it is too far to get the clutch disk crystalized. The disk get crystalized due to incorrect driving manners. Good luck!!
